The University of Nebraska–Lincoln reported 175 positive cases of COVID-19 during the most current seven-day period (Nov. 5-11).
During that same span, 1,649 tests were conducted on students, faculty and staff. Tests are conducted (by appointment only) on campus at the TestNebraska facility in the 17th and R Streets parking garage, the University Health Center and the random mitigation testing station in the East Stadium loop, as well as at off-campus medical facilities. The positivity rate during the week was 10.61%.
With the end of the semester approaching and to encourage students to get tested before they return home for Thanksgiving and other holiday celebrations, the university is expanding access to its COVID-19 testing starting Nov. 16. Learn more here.
Since university-specific testing began on Aug. 12, 1,401 total cases have been recorded out of 14,548 tests, for a positivity rate of 9.63%.
