Faculty and staff have additional time to make an impact through the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s 2024-25 Combined Campaign for Health and Human Services.
In a Dec. 2 email to faculty and staff, Lawrence Chatters, director of community partnerships and strategic initiatives for the Office of the Chancellor, announced that the campaign has been extended through Dec. 13.
“Your contributions have already made a significant difference for individuals and families in Lincoln and across Nebraska,” said Chatters, who is leading organization of the campaign for UNL. “This (extension) gives us more time to deepend our commitment and broaden our reach. I encourage each of you to continue giving and to share this campaign with your peers.”
The university is a longtime participant in the annual United Way/Combined Health Agencies Drive of Nebraska. The campaign benefits more than 145 local agencies that assist members of the community. The 2024-25 campaign started Nov. 4.
“Let’s keep the momentum going and make this campaign a resounding success,” Chatters said. “Together, we will amplify our impact and leave a legacy of care and compassion across our community and beyond. We have the power to create meaningful change, one gift at a time.”
A variety of giving options are offered through the campaign. Just $5 can cover the cost of materials for a student taking an English class. A $25 donation covers a copay for a prescription medication. And, $100 can provide an hour of therapy for a youth.
Pledge forms and additional details are available on the university’s 2024-25 Combined Campaign website. The site includes promotional assets and a list of frequently asked questions.
