The University of Nebraska–Lincoln reported 44 positive cases of COVID-19 during the most current seven-day period (Jan. 14-20).
During that same span, 529 tests were conducted on students, faculty and staff. Tests are conducted (by appointment only) on campus at the TestNebraska facility by the Cather Dining Center (on 17th Street between R and Vine streets), the University Health Center and off-campus medical facilities. The positivity rate during the week was 8.3%.
Since university-specific testing began on Aug. 12, 2,214 total cases have been recorded out of 24,632 tests, for a positivity rate of 9%.

Data is gathered from the university’s COVID-19 dashboard, which is tracking case and test totals daily. All COVID-19 testing information is provided to the university from the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.
This data does not yet include the university’s saliva-based testing program that launched Jan. 19. Details on those results will be announced.
