Janna Ronert, founder of Image Skincare and co-founder of Hush and Hush, will give her talk “My Entrepreneurial Journey” at 3:30 p.m. April 6 in Howard Hawks Hall, room 002. The event is free and open to the public.
After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Ronert set her sights on a career in the skincare industry. Unable to find a skincare line without parabens or chemicals to solve her rosacea, she created a company out of her apartment. Today, Image Skincare has over 25,000 customers in more than 60 countries.
Ronert also is the co-founder of Hush & Hush, a line of luxury beauty supplements, which launched in 2019.
The Dr. John and Tammy Allen Lecture Series brings outstanding local, regional or nationally recognized entrepreneurs who have liberal arts backgrounds to engage with students, faculty and the community. The series launched in 2018 with Michael Zimm, digital media manager at Digital Surgeons, who received his PhD in Classics from Yale University and pivoted into the tech world.
Her talk is part of a three-day visit April 5-7 on campus as she participates in events with the College of Business and the Center for Entrepreneurship. She is one of the judges the Husker Hustle Scholarship Competition and the university New Venture Competition.
