The 30th Annual Undergraduate Studio Art Competition, a juried exhibition of artwork by 40 current undergraduate students in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History and Design, opens Feb. 15 at the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall.
The Undergraduate Studio Art Competition will be open from Feb. 15-24. A reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 24 in the gallery, where the Jean R. Faulkner Memorial Awards; School of Art, Art History and Design First- and Second-Year Awards; Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts Dean’s Purchase Award; and Entry Fee Awards will be announced at 6 p.m.

This year’s juror, Todd Tubutis, is the associate director of the Sheldon Museum of Art at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Before joining the Sheldon, Tubutis was executive director of Blue Sky in Portland, Oregon, a nonprofit gallery dedicated to the presentation of international contemporary photography.
Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 12:30-4:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
