Graduate students in the Master of Fine Arts program in the School of Art, Art History and Design will host an Open Studios event 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 19 in Woods Art Building and Richards Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Open Studios is an opportunity for the public to explore the creative studios of artists in the MFA program who are working in ceramics, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography and social practice. Visitors will have the chance to see developing artworks in progress, ask questions about processes and ideas, and make personal connections with artists whose work moves them.
Refreshments will be served. Raffle tickets will be sold for artworks donated by MFA candidates. The funds will be used for upcoming thesis exhibitions in the spring.
