A Bad Portrait fundraiser organized by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Graphic Design Club provided some "lousy fun" for dozens of Huskers.
Held March 27 outside the Nebraska Union, the event featured artists drawing sketchy sketches, dreadful doodles, and crummy caricatures of passing students. Each sketch was sold for $2, with proceeds supporting the club.
While the drawings were far from perfect, participants enjoyed the lighthearted event.
"We wanted to take a break from perfectionism and just have fun," said Landon Johnson, a junior graphic design major in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts. "It brings joy and laughter, and that's what this is all about."
