Behlen Observatory to host 'Hunting Orion' Feb. 23

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Department of Physics and Astronomy will host the open house “Hunting Orion” from 7 to 10 p.m. Feb. 23 at Behlen Observatory, 35 miles northeast of Lincoln, near Mead. The event is free and open to the public.

If weather permits, attendees will be able to view the Orion Nebula, the Seven Sisters star cluster and a waxing gibbous moon pierced by a horn of Taurus the Bull through various telescopes. Society of Physics students will present science demonstrations and lectures.
