Chancellor Ronnie Green is venturing out to experience campus life in a new “Green at…” video series. In his first 2020 adventure, Green picked up some public speaking tips from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s championship speech and debate squad.
Speech and debate is the oldest student activity on campus. The program, led by Aaron Duncan, associate professor of practice in Communication Studies, earned its eighth Big Ten championship in November. The team is sponsored by the Department of Communication Studies within the College of Arts and Sciences.
The “Green at…” series launched in August with the chancellor assisting Nebraska Honors Program students as they moved into the Knoll Residential Center. The series has featured Green helping honors students move in; learning the ups and downs of flying drones; driving a student-built Baja race car; and planting poinsettias with the Horticulture Club.
