The Department of Classics and Religious Studies is co-sponsoring a book signing with Sarah McCammon for her new book, “The Exvangelicals.” The event will be at 5 p.m., April 14, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 113 N. 18th St. in Omaha.
McCammon is a national political correspondent for NPR and cohost of “The NPR Politics Podcast.” She began her career as a reporter at NET Radio and reports regularly on religion in the United States. Her work has won numerous awards, including a 2023 Edward R. Murrow Award for her coverage of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, a 2023 Wilbur Award for religion reporting, a Gracie Award in 2020 for her reporting on reproductive rights, and a National Press Club Journalism Award for team coverage of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting in 2018.
