The Bureau of Sociological Research is considering a winter edition of the Nebraska Annual Social Indicators Survey.
The winter edition would be in addition to the traditional summer survey. The additional survey will help accommodate all interested researchers and keep respondent burden at a minimum.
The survey has been conducted since 1977 and is recognized by researchers, state agencies and legislators as a scientific way to measure public opinion regarding issues that face Nebraskans. The bureau works with researchers to develop items for inclusion in the survey. And, by including topics from a variety of researchers, the survey is a cost-effective way to obtain survey data.
The winter edition would follow the same methodology as the summer survey. It is mailed to Nebraskans and results are gathered from about 1,000 individuals.
Researchers interested in participating, or who have additional questions, can contact Lindsey Witt-Swanson at lwitt2@unl.edu for more information.
The deadline to express interest in the survey is Jan. 31.
