Campus community can donate to Husker Pantry

Husker Pantry

Husker Pantry, a vital resource for students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, is continuing its mission to support those facing food and hygiene insecurity on campus.

Community support plays a crucial role in keeping the Husker Pantry stocked and operational.

Ways to contribute:
  • Monetary donations: Financial contributions are always welcome. Donations can be made through the Husker Pantry website, where funds go directly toward purchasing food and essential items.
  • Food and hygiene product drives: Organizing or participating in drives within RSOs, departments, etc. is a great way to collect non-perishable food items and hygiene products.
  • Collection bins: Donating to the various bins on campus is a convenient way to donate unused and unexpired products. Bin locations are listed on the Husker Pantry website

By supporting the Husker Pantry, the university community helps ensure that all students have access to essential resources, fostering a more inclusive and supportive campus environment.

For more information on how to access the pantry or ways to donate, visit the Husker Pantry website or contact the pantry team at pantry@unl.edu. Be sure to follow the Pantry on Instagram for updates and educational opportunities.

To access the pantry:

Open to all enrolled students at UNL, the pantry provides a variety of non-perishable food items and hygiene products, helping to alleviate the financial burden many students encounter. To utilize the Husker Pantry, students must create an account through the pantry’s online portal, PantrySoft

Students can order up to one time per month. The process is simple and designed to protect student privacy. Here’s how to get started:

1. Visit the Husker Pantry website

2. Register for an account. Click the “Order Now” button and fill in the required information, including your student ID and contact details.

3. Browse available items. Once registered, you can log in to view and select items available for pickup. Items currently in stock will appear on the “Shop View” feature.

4. Schedule a visit. After selecting your items, choose a convenient time to pick up your order. This year all orders will be picked up from Room 123 in the University Health Center on City Campus.

5. Pick up order: Arriving within the window of the appointment time allows for an efficient flow of traffic of students picking up orders. Be sure to knock on the pantry door when picking up an order.
