Federal guidance regarding the spread of COVID-19 has impacted museums and other venues at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
On March 16, President Donald Trump released new guidelines for community events and mass gatherings to help mitigate the spread of the virus causing COVID-19 disease. The federal guidelines recommend that any in-person events consisting of 10 people or more be canceled or postponed.
Based on these recommendations, campus leaders have announced the following venues will be closed:
Lied Center for Performing Arts. All major events have been canceled or rescheduled through April 16. Ticket refund and exchange information is available on its website.
Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center. Student computer labs on the second floor remain open for students with faculty permission and NCard access.
Van Brunt Visitors Center. All evening and weekend events have been canceled through the end of April.
Nebraska Innovation Studio. Members may pick up projects and other personal belongings on March 17, from 5 to 9 p.m., or March 18, from 3 to 7 p.m.
