[University Communication]

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln reported 187 positive cases of COVID-19 during the most recent week of data (Feb. 4-10).

In that same span, 5,179 tests were completed on students, faculty and staff. The positivity rate during the week was 3.6%. Both totals reflect a greater than 50% decline from the previous week’s cases (464) and positivity rate (7.6%).

Tests are conducted through the university’s saliva-based reentry testing program, the University Health Center and off-campus medical facilities.

Since the university started COVID-19 testing on Aug. 15, 2020, 9,951 positive cases have been recorded out of 312,911 tests, for a positivity rate of 3.2%.

This report is generated weekly and will be presented in Nebraska Today every Monday through the spring semester. Data is gathered from the university’s COVID-19 dashboard, which is tracking case and test totals daily. All COVID-19 testing information is provided to the university from the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.
