Campus instructors can now access Teaching at UNL, a Canvas course shell that features shared models outlining a variety of remote teaching options.

Offered by the university’s Center for Transformative Teaching, the resource includes discussions on the various ways spring semester instructors are preparing for the start of remote teaching on March 30. Instructors are encouraged to ask questions and share their own practices. Additionally, faculty who have previously led internet-based instruction have created a question and answer section regarding tools and techniques.

Access the Teaching at UNL information by logging into Canvas and viewing the dashboard. If not available, click on “Courses,” then “All Courses” on the bottom of the list. Instructors can make it a favorite and have it appear on the Dashboard by highlighting the star to the left of the course title in the all-courses list.

The Center for Transformative Teaching has also expanded its Keep Teaching resources and has added an Assessment Guide for instructors.

Teaching academy fellows will host virtual office hours to discuss ways to approach instructing challenges that come with remote teaching. Details on office hours and Zoom link are are on March 19 and 20. Learn how to access the sessions via Zoom.

The sessions are 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on both March 19 and 20. Access the sessions via the links below.
