CDW-G approved as new strategic IT hardware supplier

As the result of a university-wide RFP process, the University of Nebraska Board of Regents approved a new strategic IT hardware supplier.

The RFP committee, composed of business, academic and IT representatives from all four university campuses, reviewed the supplier submissions and agreed to move forward with CDW-G as a single supplier for all Dell, HP, Lenovo and Apple devices, including monitors and accessories. Effective Sept. 1, all IT hardware purchases will be processed by CDW-G.

How do I purchase IT equipment?

Effective Sept. 1, the Dell and Connection punchouts will be removed from eSHOP. Any purchases already approved will continue. Dell, HP, Lenovo and Apple will all be provided via the new CDW-G punch-out.

What is covered under the new agreement?

The new agreement covers IT purchases from various manufacturers, including Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Apple for computer standards. The new agreement also includes negotiated discounts off all catalog items for the following categories:

  • Accessories, including Notebook/Mobile Device Accessories
  • Power, Cooling, Racks
  • UPS/Battery Backup
  • Desktop/Notebook Computers and Memory Upgrades
