ChamberFest performances are Dec. 2-3


Groups from the Glenn Korff School of Music will perform in the ChamberFest and Honors ChamberFest on Dec. 2 and 3. All of the performances are free and open to the public.

The ChamberFest will include seven chamber groups performing at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Westbrook Recital Hall.

The Honors ChamberFest concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in Kimball Recital Hall. The concert will feature the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chamber Music Program’s top student chamber music ensembles selected through an audition. The program will include Claude Debussy’s Piano Trio in G Major; Felix Mendelssohn’s String Quartet in A minor, Op. 13; Astor Piazzolla’s “Libertango” arranged for four violins; Grazyna Bacewicz’s Quartet for Four Violins; and a contemporary work written for clarinet quartet by Josh Spaulding.

The Honors ChamberFest that was previously announced for Dec. 4 has been canceled.
