The LGBTQA+ Resource Center is accepting donations for the Lavender Closet, which will provide students with free clothes that align with their gender identity.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s LGBTQA+ Resource Center is seeking clothing donations for a new campus resource, the Lavender Closet.

The Lavender Closet allows students without access to gender-affirming clothing to find free clothes that align with their gender identities. The closet is run entirely on donations, which can be dropped off at the center throughout the year.

The center is accepting any clothing in clean and good condition. Underwear is not accepted, unless it is brand new with tags in place or is in a package.

Donations can be brought to the LGBTQA+ Resource Center in room 347 of the Nebraska Union. The center is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.
