Huskers have an assignment (or two) to complete before the fall semester begins.
All segments of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln community — students, instructors, researchers and staff — are highly encouraged to watch online videos that provide specific details on new health-related policies and procedures put into place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Each member of the campus community is being asked to complete their respective videos prior to the start of the fall semester on Aug. 17.
Each training video can be completed in a single or multiple sessions. University log-in username and password combinations are needed to complete the training.
The campus community, alumni and other Husker supporters are also being asked to review the Cornhusker Commitment. The promise to follow safety measures that protect individuals and the greater community is available for review online.
The four training videos and brief descriptions of each include:
Students
- The 40-minute COVID-19 Student Training video includes an overview of COVID-19 terminology and symptoms, details on what to do if feeling ill, and information on how to stop the spread of the virus. This video also includes important information on several commonly used facilities and services available on campus.
Instructors
- The 30-minute 2020 UNL Instructor Training is a supplement to the COVID-19 Awareness — Campus Procedures and Self-Care training recommended for all members of the campus community (see below). This module is strongly recommended for instructors who will be teaching in-person courses this year. Topics covered include facial coverings, physical distancing, classroom disinfection, instructor-student connection, attendance and assessment.
Staff
The 30-minute COVID-19 Awareness — Campus Procedures and Self-Care video offers details of campus procedures and self-care related to COVID-19. It is suitable for all members of the campus community, including students.
The 30-minute COVID-19 Module 2 — University Operations/Customer Service Procedures video is required for all university operations employees. It is intended to provide awareness of customer service procedures and policies related to COVID-19.
