In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion is hosting a bystander intervention webinar on April 27. The session is open to the entire campus community.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is holding a free “Bystander Intervention: Combating Rising Bias and Harassment” webinar at noon, April 27.

Drawing on standards of inclusive excellence and the social science method of the 5 D’s of Bystander Intervention, the webinar will feature current models of disrespect specific to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will include micro-aggressions to discrimination while providing behaviors and patterns to watch for, highlighting the positive impact bystander impact can have on individuals and the broader community.

The presentation will provide steps from inaction to inclusive intervention, methods that will allow for personal safety and inclusive intervention.

Registration is available online. For more information or for questions, send email to diversity@unl.edu.
