Mary Ellen Ducey, associate professor and university archivist, will discuss the history of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Archives and Special Collections in a 4 p.m. Oct. 28 event in Love Library South, Peterson Room. The talk, “Making the Past Present in Archives and Special Collections,” is free and open to the public.
The University of Nebraska Board of Regents created the archives in 1968 and appointed the first university archivist. Ducey will discuss the beginnings of the archives and how it has grown and developed in the last 20 years. The presentation is part of the University Libraries’ History and Future of the Libraries series.
