Eating disorder awareness activities begin Feb. 25


Nebraska’s Healthy Outlook Peer Educators (HOPE) group will honor Eating Disorder Awareness Week with “Come As You Are: A Week of Positivity, Learning and Self-Care” Feb. 25-28.

The week is sponsored by Counseling and Psychological Services, the University Health Center and Campus Recreation.

A schedule of events includes:

Feb. 25:
  • If You Want a Cookie, Have a Cookie — 11 a.m. in University Health Center
  • If You Want a Cookie, Have a Cookie — 5 p.m. at Lewis Training Table
Feb. 26:
  • If You Want a Cookie, Have a Cookie — 11 a.m. in the Nebraska Union
  • Yoga Class — 3:30 p.m. in the Campus Recreation Combative Arts Room
Feb. 27:
  • If You Want a Cookie, Have a Cookie — 11 a.m. in the Nebraska Union
Feb. 28:
  • Road to Recovery Panel — 6 p.m. in the Nebraska Union Auditorium
  • Vigil — 7 p.m. in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center Unity Room
Week-long:
  • Comfortable in Your Genes Jean Drive — Jeans can be dropped off for donation in the Nebraska and East Unions, City and East Recreation Centers, Abel lobby, HSS Dining Center, and the University Health Center
