Employee Assistance Program offers two virtual parenting classes

The Employee Assistance Program is offering a seven-week parenting class based on the "Becoming a Love and Logic Parent" program. The class offers ways to raise a responsible child that learns from the consequences of their own mistakes.

The Employee Assistance Program is offering two dates of virtual parenting classes based on the program, “Love and Logic.” This semester, classes will be offered from 4-4:45 p.m. March 18 and April 1. Participants may register for both classes or a single class.

On March 18, the Love and Logic presentation will be “The Gift of Problem Solving” and how to teach it. On April 1, the presentation will be “Teaching Kids/Teens to Complete Chores Without Reminders.”

“Parenting the Love and Logic Way” is a program that offers strategies to raise a responsible child that learns from the consequences of their own mistakes. Participants will learn about preparing children for the real world and avoiding power struggles by letting empathy and consequences do the teaching. Participants will receive educational material during each class period that reinforces the learning from videos and group discussion.

Please register by March 12 by calling 402-472-3107 or emailing EAP@unl.edu.
