Holly McGee
Nebraska’s Institute for Ethnic Studies will host its annual Spring Celebration at 4:30 p.m. April 10 at Sheldon Museum of Art.
This year’s celebration features a lecture by Holly McGee, assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati.
In her lecture, McGee will tell the story of Elizabeth Mafeking, a recognized South African women’s trade union president. In 1959, she was identified by white civic and political leaders as the head of “the most militant trade union in the country.”
