Charlie Fink, a Forbes columnist and extended reality consultant will speak at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts’ IGNITE colloquium at 12:30 p.m. April 2 via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public.
The IGNITE colloquium is for all students enrolled in the Carson Center. It includes guest lectures, workshops and seminars focused on creative and professional development.
Fink’s presentation will focus on, “building the metaverse, emphasizing the role of user-generated content in virtual reality.”
Fink teaches extended reality at Chapman University in Orange, California. He is a consultant to leading companies in the extended reality world and author of “Remote Collaboration, Virtual Conferences and the Future of Work.” As a 28-year-old junior executive at Disney, he developed the idea for “The Lion King.” In the 1990s, Fink was executive vice president and a chief operating officer for Virtual World Entertainment.
