The first Heartland Extension Disaster Education Network webinar, “Linking Extension and Community Disaster Response: 2020 Missouri River Flooding Forecast,” will be held on Feb. 27, at 9 a.m.
Participants will learn more about the spring 2020 forecast for the Missouri River, the national emergency response framework, the emergency response process and Extension’s role in it, as well as health and safety considerations. While the river/climate portion of the webinar is focused on the Missouri River main stem, the remainder of the program is applicable across Nebraska.
Register for the webinar here.
Zoom information will be provided upon completing registration. The webinar will be recorded and available on the Heartland EDEN website at a later date.
This webinar is coordinated by Heartland EDEN, a team of Extension faculty and professionals from Iowa State, Kansas State, the University of Missouri, and the University of Nebraska working toward improving Extension’s ability to prepare and respond to disasters of all types. Sponsorship for Heartland EDEN is provided in part through a grant from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.
