The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards is currently in search of interested candidates to serve as interviewers on its Investigations Team. The team will assist in the investigations of alleged violations of the University of Nebraska Student Code of Conduct for large-scale student organizations, including but not limited to, recognized student organizations, sports clubs, fraternities, sororities and other types of student groups.
Interviewers will be trained in how to facilitate interviews, gather information from organization members and other relevant parties, as well as how to effectively capture and identify valuable information throughout the meeting.
Specific Responsibilities
- Exercising courtesy, respect and professionalism to everyone involved
- Ability to work with a variety of student organizations
- Maintaining confidentiality of information through the investigation process
- Remaining neutral and nonjudgmental as a member of the Investigations Team
- Following the investigation procedure process
- Facilitate interviews with students and other involved parties when necessary
- Documenting interviewee responses during the interview
- Providing detailed notes/summary of interview(s) after the investigation
Qualifications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of campus resources
- Comfort documenting responses in written form
- Full-time Staff, Faculty, or Graduate/Professional Student
