Jaffe will present on an ongoing National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism-funded study to develop and test a web-based intervention involving personalized normative feedback related to alcohol and sexual assault. Created with a user-centered approach, this intervention is designed to promote social support of sexual assault survivors, from responding to an initial disclosure to navigating social drinking contexts in the long-term.

Jaffe is an associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on responding to the public health problem of sexual assault and co-occruring alcohol misuse by improving understanding of survivors’ experiences and promoting recovery through novel interventions.

This talk is sponsored by the Rural Drug Addiction Research Center.
