Radio and television stations across Nebraska are teaming up with the American Red Cross for a one-day flood relief effort.

Led by the Nebraska Broadcasters Association, the #NebraskaStrong Drive for Flood Relief is 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. March 22.

Nebraskans and others around the county will have the opportunity to support their neighbors and fellow Nebraskans affected by recent flooding. Several Nebraska-native celebrities have also signed-on to support the effort on social media and broadcasts. Red Cross volunteers will be manning phones to accept donations. All funds raised through the donation drive will go to support American Red Cross flood relief efforts in Nebraska and western Iowa.

To contribute, call 844-278-8555 or go to the Red Cross website and select “Disaster Relief.”

The campaign kicked off with a $20,000 commitment made by the Nebraska Broadcasters Association.

The day has also been proclaimed as #NebraskaStrong Day by Gov. Pete Ricketts.
