Drawing on his academic background, service as a Navy SEAL and leadership at McChrystal Group in Alexandria, Virginia, Chris Fussell will offer thoughts on leadership and communication in a 3:30 p.m. March 7 presentation at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. The presentation is part of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Harris Lecture Series.
During the hour-long talk, Fussell will share from his experience working with companies to train for, adapt to and succeed in complex operating environments. Fussell will discuss the experiences included in his New York Times best-selling book “Team of Teams: New Rules of Engagement in a Complex World” and Wall Street Journal best seller “One Mission: How Leaders Build a Team of Teams.”
Fussell is a graduate of the University of Richmond in Virginia and Naval Postgraduate School, earning a master’s degree in irregular warfare. He currently leads a team at the McChrystal Group Leadership Institute.
Fussell helps several non-profit groups dedicated to assisting veterans and their families and serves on the board of directors for the Navy SEAL Foundation.
