Campus Recreation Massage Therapy is offering free chair massages to celebrate Massage Therapy Awareness Week, Oct. 24–28. The event promotes the many health benefits of massage, including stress relief, better sleep and improved mental health.
Licensed massage therapists will be at the following locations offering free chair massages to university students, faculty and staff:
• Oct. 24, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Campus Recreation Center
• Oct. 25, 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. at the Glenn Korff School of Music
• Oct. 26 , 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Recreation and Wellness Center
• Oct. 26, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Outdoor Adventures Center
• Oct. 27, 8 to 10 a.m. at the Nebraska Union
• Oct. 27, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Law Library
• Oct. 28, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the College of Dentistry (Department students, faculty and staff only)
Massage appointments are available regularly at the Campus Rec Center and the Rec and Wellness Center on East Campus. Sessions are 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90-minutes with a licensed massage therapist. Massage options are deep tissue, Swedish, sports massage, cupping, reflexology and prenatal.
