The monthly series exploring East Campus gardens continues July 3 with a walkthrough of Earl G. Maxwell Arboretum.
The tours are noon to 1 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month through Nov. 6. The July 3 excursion begins at the Perin Porch, one block southwest of the Dairy Store.
The informal tours offer participants an opportunity to observe changes of woody and herbaceous plants through the entire growing season. Each tour is led by Emily Levine, special projects research horticulturist and former grounds supervisor for the arboretum. Each tour is free and open to the public.
In the event of rain, tours will be held the following Tuesday.
