The next Genealogy Over Lunch meeting is 11:30 a.m. Aug. 15 in Love Library South, Room 318. The meetings are free and open to faculty, staff and students.
Sometimes, digging into family history can uncover a family member who lived a life of crime. Those surprises will be explored in the next Genealogy Over Lunch session, 11:30 a.m. Aug. 15 in Love Library South, Room 318.
The brown bag presentation will be led by Beth Rogge. She will share a story about how she discovered details about an ancestor who was in the state penitentiary.
Participants are encouraged to bring a lunch and share details about their black sheep ancestors.
Genealogy Over Lunch is a University Libraries group designed to help individuals explore and organize family history. It meets every third Thursday of the month and welcomes all faculty, staff and students. Meetings are free.
