The University of Nebraska–Lincoln School of Global Integrative Studies’ Archaeological Field School is hosting Archaeology Days at the Reller Prairie Field Station, located south of Lincoln.
Two sessions of Archaeology Days activities will be offered: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 10 and June 14 at the field station, 20210 SW 29th St. The events are free and open to the public. Visitors will learn about archaeology and related studies, as well as have the opportunity to explore part of Reller Prairie.
LuAnn Wandsnider, professor in SGIS, is leading Achaeological Field School May 31-June 16, and noted that Reller is a thriving prairie, complete with ticks and poison ivy. She asked that visitors be prepared by wearing long pants and sleeves, closed toed shoes, and insect repellent.
