Good global citizenship: Lynch to read from 'Thinking Continental'

English professor Tom Lynch will be discussing and reading from his co-edited book, “Thinking Continental: Writing the Planet One Place At a Time,” at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at Indigo Bridge Books. He will be joined by contributors Twyla Hanson, Elizabeth Dodd and Harmon Maher.

In response to the growing scale and complexity of environmental threats, “Thinking Continental: Writing the Planet One Place At a Time” collects articles, essays, personal narratives and poems by more than 40 authors in conversation about connecting personal experiences and encounters with the idea of global citizenship.

“This is exactly the kind of book that helps us to understand where and who we are, what it means to be ‘emplaced’ on this planet,” said Scott Slovic, coeditor of “Ecocritical Aesthetics: Language, Beauty, and the Environment.”
