HealthierU, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s employee wellness program, is encouraging employees to step away from their desks and into a day of movement, connection and well-being at the upcoming HealthierU Spring wellness event: Employee Field Day.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 17 at the Recreation and Wellness Center.
Employee Field Day offers a fun, interactive environment where faculty and staff can participate in activities that support overall well-being. The event builds on HealthierU’s mission to empower employees through accessible programs that enhance physical, emotional and social health.
Participants can expect a variety of field day-style activities and opportunities to connect with colleagues while exploring resources that support a healthier lifestyle. Some of these activities include five-minute chair massages, group bike ride, free 30-minute Pop Pilates and Sound Bath Meditation classes, minute-to-win-it style games and more. Employees are also encouraged to join hybrid programs, where they can participate in person or on Zoom. The two hybrid opportunities include a financial wellness seminar on Cyber Scams with the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union at 11 a.m. or the Sound Bath Meditation class at 12:30 p.m.
The Spring Wellness Event: Employee Field Day is open to all University of Nebraska–Lincoln employees. Some events and activities require pre-registration. To locate the registration links, the hybrid links, and for more information about the event, visit the official event webpage.
