The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Employee Wellness program is rolling out its next movement challenge, Stress-Free Strides, on April 14. The focus of the challenge is to make time for movement to help alleviate stress. During this four-week challenge, participants will be tasked with tracking their daily movement activity minutes.

Whether you find movement through traditional physical activity exercise such as walking, yoga, strength training or dance, or more non-traditional activities such as gardening/landscaping, cleaning or playing in the yard with children or pets, this movement challenge is for you.

Here are some key components to consider when tracking movement minutes:

  • To count movement towards this challenge, the movement activity must occur for a minimum of 10 minutes.
  • Participants can count a maximum of 200 minutes of movement per day towards this challenge.
  • You can count multiple movement activities per day as long as it doesn't exceed the 200-minute daily maximum.

This challenge will also include a team's option where participants can work together and compete against other university organized teams.

Interested university employees are encouraged to visit the website to learn more about this challenge and to register. Registration will remain open until April 11.
