HR offers new evaluation template; training workshops for supervisors

American Association for the Advancement of Science

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is committed to fostering a welcoming environment for all faculty, staff and students, where every person and every interaction matters. As part of this ongoing effort, Human Resources has updated the performance evaluation template to reflect the importance of community and belonging within our workplace.

The revised template now includes language that encourages supervisors and employees to consider contributions to a positive work environment. This includes recognizing efforts to promote respectful communication, collaboration, and a sense of belonging among colleagues.  he updated language aims to highlight the value of creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome, seen, and empowered to succeed.

To support supervisors in effectively using the updated template and conducting meaningful performance evaluations, HR is offering a series of workshops. These sessions will provide guidance on:

  • Understanding the updated performance evaluations
  • Writing clear, constructive, and actionable performance feedback.
  • Delivering performance evaluations effectively, fostering open communication, and setting goals for future growth.
  • Addressing performance concerns in a supportive and productive manner.

Supervisors are strongly encouraged to attend one of these workshops. Space is limited, so please register early to secure your spot.
