The university’s summer New Student Enrollment program, which continues through July 10, helps incoming students and their families prepare for the transition to college through orientation, academic advising and course registration sessions held throughout the summer.

Visitors to the University of Nebraska State Museum anthropology collection view a 1927 letter handwritten by a Japanese student. The letter is one of 164 messages sent to “dear American friends” alongside Miss Mie, a friendship doll gifted as part of an effort to promote goodwill between the United States and Japan. Miss Mie, also pictured, has been part of the museum’s collection since 1929.
Construction crews work on the south end of Memorial Stadium during the university’s “Big Red Rebuild” project on May 26. The renovation project includes upgrades to seating, fan amenities and other stadium facilities..
Kyle Hansen, senior coordinator for Outdoor Adventures, gives an overview of bicycle riding to participants in the first Sustainability on Wheels summer coffee ride for employees on May 27.
