Huskers' halftime hoopla honors 150th year

Dear Old Nebraska U’s weeklong celebration of the 150th anniversary of its charter rolled onto center court Feb. 13 as the Husker men’s basketball defeated Minnesota, 62-61.

During halftime of the tilt at Pinnacle Bank Arena, fans were treated to a tribute to the university’s 150 years; a performance by Nebraska Steel, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s first student ensemble dedicated to playing steel drum music; and a jubilant Herbie Husker leaping from a cake.
