Mathematician and physicist Kay Kirkpatrick will discuss her most recent research in an American Mathematical Society Graduate Chapter lecture at 4 p.m. April 13 in Avery Hall, Room 115.
The talk, “Bio-Logic: New Views on Biology and Computation,” is free and open to the public.

Kirkpatrick is an associate professor of mathematics and physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She recently serves as a Simons Fellow Visiting Associate Professor of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
