Matthew Oltman will direct the performance 7:30 p.m. March 1 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Chamber Singers will test the limits of their voices for “Inspiration and Innovation.”
The free public recital is 7:30 p.m. March 1 at St. Mark’s on the Campus, 1309 R St.
The repertoire will include a gospel-tinged arrangement of “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” and an array of sounds, from ethereal Eastern Orthodox-inspired music to a throbbing Hindu chant.
Directed by Matthew Oltman, the Chamber Singers is the university’s premiere vocal chamber ensemble. As a small choir of 16 to 20 voices, it is intended to provide the highest level of choral chamber performance experience for graduate and undergraduate singers in the Glenn Korff School of Music.
