For 11 weeks this semester, 17 journalism students pored over political stories published by national media. Their goal — to examine if there is a bias in political reporting and how it was presented.
The project, featured Nov. 1 in a KETV report by Andrew Ozaki, was an assignment in a course led by Maria Marron, professor of journalism and mass communication. Their findings found broader coverage of President Donald Trump (70 percent) versus 30 percent on the Joe Biden campaign.
