As a transformative, world-leading institution, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln plays an active role in engaging with international partners overseas and locally, as well as providing students global learning experiences. On Feb. 22 at 4 p.m., the university’s Office of Global Strategies and Yeutter Institute of International Trade and Financewill highlight some of this work at the Nebraska Department of Economic Development’s “Learn International Nebraska” webinar.
“Learn International Nebraska” is a two-day virtual webinar that will provide students from across the University of Nebraska system an opportunity to learn about the efforts of various stakeholders in the state to engage with international partners and top export markets. The webinar will also serve as a platform for Nebraska’s organizations to connect with students, foster a better understanding of the state’s global presence and highlight potential opportunities for research, internships and jobs for new graduates.
On Feb. 22 from 4 to 5 p.m., students will learn more about the global efforts of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development and two of the university’s international units. All representatives will give a brief presentation on Zoom before allowing students some time to ask questions. The second day, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m., will include presentations from companies based in Nebraska across a variety of sectors: Lindsay, Kawasaki Motors, LI-COR Biosciences, CLAAS and Werner.
Interested students should register here by Feb. 17 to attend. For questions about the webinar, contact Jessica Ha.
