Lecture examines relationship between science, Christian faith

Michael Strauss, an experimental particle physicist, will discuss “Scientific Evidence for the Existence of God” at 8 p.m. March 6 in the Nebraska Union Auditorium.

Strauss, a professor of physics at the University of Oklahoma, will discuss the relationship between science, rational thinking, objective evidence and Christian faith. He is a CERN researcher, working on a project at the ATLAS detector, which is one of the two multi-purpose particle detectors located at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN near Geneva, Switzerland.

Following the lecture, Strauss will answer questions from the audience. He will also meet with students on March 7. Details about the student interaction will be available at the lecture.

The event, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Grads, Cru and Ratio Christi.
