The University Libraries is hosting stress-relief activities at drop-in stations in the Learning Commons, Geology Library and Love Library, as well as scheduled events, through Dec. 20. Activities include coloring pages, puzzles and writing or reading affirmations.
Puzzles and coloring will take place in the Dinsdale Family Learning Commons and the second floor Link of Love Library. There will also be a coloring station at the Geology Library. Affirmations will be in the Adele Hall Learning Commons and the Dinsdale Family Learning Commons.
The University Libraries, Center for Academic Success and Transition, and Writing Center will host specific activities during the last week of classes. Remaining events include:
- Relax with CAST, 1 to 3 p.m. Dec. 10, Love Library, Room 127 — This CAST event will give participants a chance to play board or card games, complete coloring pages and enjoy snacks.
- Calming Crafts, 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 10, Love Library — Crafts will include button making, weaving, friendship bracelets and Perler beads. Snacks will also be provided.
- Big Red Pawp-Up, noon to 1:30 p.m., Dec. 11, Dinsdale Family Learning Commons — Opportunity to destress by petting dogs.
- Big Red Pawp-Up, noon to 1:30 p.m., Dec. 12, Love Library — Opportunity to destress by petting dogs.
- International Write-In with the Writing Center, 6 to 9 p.m., Dec. 12, Love Library North and Link — Students can have a 15-minute consultation on any piece of writing they are developing.
