The University Libraries’ Research Partnerships librarians are planning to offer more than 20 workshops for the fall semester on topics related to data management, data management plans, research methods and practices such as evidence synthesis methodology, reparative research and geospatial data tools.
The sessions are offered on various dates, times and locations including via Zoom or in-person at Love Library South or the Dinsdale Family Learning Commons. Faculty and graduate students are the primary audience; however undergraduates may be especially interested in the ArcGIS StoryMaps workshop. Registration is recommended and will be available under each calendar entry for individual workshops on the department’s event calendar.
Two of the workshops, “Write a successful NIH Data Management and Sharing Plan” and “Creating a Data Management Plan” will be offered monthly and be taught by either Leslie Delserone, associate professor, research data services and science librarian or Scout Calvert, chair of Research Partnership. These workshops focus on learning about the elements of the NIH DMSP and strategies of research data management for internal use or to include in funding applications.
