Thirty-six high school students participated in the Lied Center for Performing Arts’ inaugural Triple Threat Broadway Summer Intensive in early June. The event was for those interested in musical theatre and hoping to build their skills with the help of seasoned Broadway professionals.
For three days, the students gathered for concentrated workshops in dance, acting and vocal performance led by Broadway industry experts. Faculty included Jason Michael Webb, a Tony Award-winning composer and music director based in New York; Allison Macri, a touring Broadway artist and New York-based educator; and Ruben del Valle Jr., a dance instructor based out of Lincoln with significant experience on Broadway stages.
