The University Libraries, with the exception of the Adele Coryell Hall Learning Commons, will close at 8 p.m. March 20. It will remain closed indefinitely.
The learning commons, located on the first floor of Love Library North, will be accessible to anyone with a valid NCard from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. No libraries faculty or staff will be working in the learning commons. The space will be monitored by University Police.
When Love Library closes March 20, there will be no physical access to collections and all retrieval and delivery options will cease. The closure includes the Library Depository Retrieval Facility on East Campus.
Decisions about access to the Schmid Law Library, which operates as part of the College of Law, will be announced. All other campus libraries are currently closed.
The University Libraries will continue to provide resources — both online and remotely — to support the university’s teaching, learning and research. Updates on the library services, including details on how to request materials and contact librarians for assistance, are available on the University Libraries’ COVID-19 webpage.
The due dates for all non-reserves materials already checked out to patrons have been extended to May 8. Those dates will be extended further if needed. No ordinary fees for non-reserve and non-interlibrary loan materials should be accrued while the campus libraries are closed.
