Nebraska’s Make+Take Lunch program will feature a quick-and-easy, homemade meal of chicken caesar pasta salad in a 11:30 a.m. session, Jan. 26 at the Recreation and Wellness Center’s Wellness Kitchen.
The program is part of Campus Recreation’s cooking classes and demonstrations, which teach participants the skills needed to prepare healthy meals that are simple, budget friendly and flavorful. Make+Take Lunch sessions feature mid-day meal ideas that are healthy alternatives to fast food and other rushed lunch options.
Registration for the Make+Take Lunch presentation is due Jan. 24. Cost is $5 and includes a low-cost cooking lesson and a delicious lunch.
